INDEPENDENT LANGUAGE CONSULTING, INC. Consulting and Interpretation Services Agreement
Independent Language Consulting, Inc. (“ILC”) 
Language Service Recipient (“LSR”)
 Standard Agreement: Indemnification:  By offering an interpreting project to ILC, the LSR deems ILC fully qualified to perform such interpretation pursuant to ILC’s Statement of Experience and Training.
Fees:  ILC Negotiates prices privately, on a fee for service basis.

• Statement of Experience and Training (Minimum Qualifications) of all Interpreters employed by ILC:
  
  Each Interpreter Employed by ILC shall be certified to have met the following minimum Standards of Reputation, Competence, Experience, Training and Complaint-Free Professionalism in the language being interpreted:
   Years of Uninterrupted Paid Experience – Minimum 15 Years
  
  Evaluations of Reputation and Competence - From Principal Executives of Minimum of three (3) Local and Reputable Firms.
  
  Evaluations of Professionalism – Minimum of two (2) - Executive Level Language Service End Users (Such as Doctors and Program Managers of Health Systems or Social Service Agencies, Principals and Superintendents of Education Systems, Managers or Judges of Court Systems).
  
  Number of Career Interpretations performed in Field: Minimum 10,000.
  
  Healthcare / Medical Appointment and Surgical Procedure Interpretations. Minimum 5,000.
  
  Social Service Interpretations:  Insurance / Billing / Educational / Parent/Teacher. Minimum 5,000.
  
  Court and Legal Interpretations: Interviews, Testimony or Depositions involving Attorneys or Paralegals (Service Not Provided, except where incidental to above services).
  
  Number of Past Claims or Complaints:  Substantiating error or omissions related to an interpretation, lack of ethics, confidentiality or professionalism: Maximum: ZERO.
  
  Completion of all Continuing Education and Ethics Credits necessary to maintain certification. HIPAA Training. 
  
  Federal or State Issued Language Interpreter and Translation Certificates.  ILC Medical Interpreters are Certified by DSHS. Although taken into consideration, evaluations by trade associations, educational institutions and governments, are an unreliable predictor of the future performance, competence, cultural sensibilities, or professionalism of an interpreter of spoken languages. ILC evaluates the competence of its interpreters based solely upon its own thorough Historical Examination of the candidate’s Reputation and Experience.  
  
  Successful Completion of a Criminal Background Check.
  
  The candidate is eligible for hire when ILC is satisfied it has received evidence certifying the Candidate has met all of the above Exceedingly High Standards of Reputation, Competence, Experience, Training, and Proven Complaint-Free Professionalism.
